| At the Harvard Design School the study of Urban Design brings together scholars and professionals from both U.S. and international settings in order to address the critical and complex problems of today's cities and towns. The urban designer formulates design strategies and proposes development programs that will improve the quality of urban environments. Design at this scale demands knowedge of urban history and development processes, and requires an extension of design skills from architecture and landscape architecture. |
